RV Supplies to Stock Up On

RVs don’t have a lot of storage, that’s no secret. So what are the best things to stock up on? We’re walking you through some of the items you’ll want to have extra of before your next big RV trip.

FOOD: Stock up on dry goods, snacks and other non-perishable items. Try to do this for a few months in advance so you can buy items when you have coupons, when they’re BOGO or when they’re on sale. You can buy things like meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables once you’re settled in an RV park.

FIRST AID: No one likes the thought of getting hurt on the road, but it can happen. To save some money, head to your local dollar store and grab things like band-aids, antibiotic ointment, gauze pads, cloth tape, antiseptic wipes, medicines and whatever else you’ll need. Don’t forget things like Tylenol for those random headaches! Stuff like that can get pricey on the road.

TOILETRIES: We’re not just talking shampoo and soap. You’ll want to have toilet paper and toothpaste to spare. Toilet paper is something no one wants to run out of! If you have the space, it’s a good idea to grab shampoo, conditioner and soap too, especially if you find it on sale.

PIECES OF HOME: Having what you need is important when you’re RV camping. It will save you money on the road and make your trip more enjoyable. But having what you want is important too! Don’t forget to stock up on things that make your RV comfy, like fluffy pillows, good movies, pictures of family and your favorite slippers. You won’t regret bringing that stuff on a chilly winter day!

USEFUL, BUT RANDOM: Sometimes, the most useful things on the road can seem the most random. Don’t forget to stock up on things like rope, pens, pads of paper, duct tape, bungee cords, extension cords, flash light, batteries, compass, safety pins, work gloves, and more! Even with an extensive list, our favorite saying is all you need is WD-40 and duct tape. If it moves and it shouldn’t, use duct tape and if it doesn’t move and should, use WD-40. See? We’re problem solvers at Newby Fun Resorts.
